This copy of a 1900 double-ended Danish sailboat, built by Matt Billey on WoodenBoat.com, is a solid example of great craftsmanship on a large wooden boat build.

The boat, named "Jette", is a wooden boat builder's dream. The frames are hackmatack, oak, and black locust. The floor timbers are hack, and the trunnels and lap-pegs are black locust. The boat is powered by an old Sabb motor.

The boat was created from old plans, which turned out to be quite a challenge. One lesson learned: the Danish inch is a little bigger than the English inch!

The long boat build thread includes a couple of other boat builds (both models and fullsize), an electric guitar build, a marriage, a birth, and, you guessed it: a homemade tool build! In this case, it was a trunnel making machine.
