I was just getting ready to comment about what a goofy Idea something like that would be because of the complexity the dozens of bearings required the springs of shock dampeners and the fact that the tracks would probably be a 1-time use after landing. then I decided to do a search. It seems for once the Airforce used logic and scrapped the project after only a few tests
