I like this tool, as it's a "relative to where it was at" indicator based, adjustment tool. Tenths setting may not be possible, but If I can get it within 10 microns, I'm within bearing glue using locktite.
I'm thinking of how to simplify, just a straight round dowel/silver steel peice the diameter of the endmill hole of the boring head, as this attachment shows in the video, make a simple sliding clamp that holds the indicator back towards the boring head main round body. Zero, adjust, remove, and hope you didn't oversize again. But I know this is better then messing with a mag indicator, at least with my Wells Index, that leaves nothing to clamp too, like a Bridgeport spindle nose (there's the main spindle body to grab, once a 50mm or so it down fed, but short extension of the spindle is my best hope of accurate machining.
Interesting channel, talks with words I understand (colloquial jargon). And he's learning as he goes.
