Brake rotor lathe - GIF

I worked for a Saab dealership in the late 60's and early 70's. Saab supplied us with a tool that looked similar to a brake caliper that had adjusting screws instead of brake pistons that moved some kind of grinding stones in and out on both sides, and a lever that gave it about 2 - 3 inches travel in line with the rotor. Since the old Saab 95 and 96's only had disk brakes on the front, (and front wheel drive), we would mount this tool on the front axle suspension, fire the car up, put it in gear and grind each rotor in situ! (The good old days!)
