That seems to be a dumb way to open the door - destroy the frame and wall integrity and hope the structure stays stable - oh, you have to wrestle the door after you mangle it...
Odd that there is no support around the door frame beyond drywall and some insulation. The tool may work as advertised, but whoever installed that door should probably find another line of work.

Probably as part of a search, police officers from the anti-crime brigade (BAC) forced open a door with a hydraulic jack. But instead of opening the door, the whole wall collapsed.
An intelligent person would have used the jack horizontally instead of vertically if the door was locked...
