Brussels sprout harvesting machine. Hard to believe there are so many different harvesting machines. I believe toolmaking is arguably humanity's oldest industry, because of the evidence we have of ad hoc toolmaking evolving into a basic industry, with assigned tasks and specialized workers for the primitive mass production of chipped rocks.

Maybe agriculture is a close second or third?

Ever since early man learned to sharpen a stick to be used as a spear to kill game for food man has probably also used that same stick to poke a small hole in the ground to plant seeds to grow their food. They probably used the same chipped stone that was used to sharpen their spears to cut the harvest from the plants as well

You just need to know how to prepare them...feed them to a pig and then eat the pig.

Brussels sprouts not the least woeful of vegetables. I'm told there are regions with individuals consuming okra, frequently.

Even more frequent, being only once.

A fun test. Next time at the market, ask a clerk to recall selling okra, or slightly more appealing lima beans.
I guarantee; products from Marv's sprout-fed, stout-bodied short-legged omnivorous artiodactyl mammal (fm. Suidae) of thick bristly skin, long flexible snout, but cute little tail outsell the 4 combined.

Okra: the solid state of slime
Lima Beans: the foetal state of artichokes, another faux food beloved of tree huggers who enjoy sucking on leaves

Here in the land of fruits and nuts, lima beans are usually served with twigs and pebbles to enhance their flavor.

My Cajon neighbor brought me several packets of seeds for my garden said these are all organic. OK I said I guess that is a big deal to me a seed is a seed as long as the plant grows from it LOL.I started looking at the hand printed labels , Okra Black eyed peas lentil cantaloupe yellow meat watermelon squash spinach turnips beets and mild sweet yellow peppers.
I thanked her for them then asked if she was planning on selling me a couple of pigs to raise. because if I planted all of that stuff I's need at least one sow and one boar to used as breeders to eat the harvests,
She said she didn't have any pigs but maybe another neighbor can catch some young feral pigs that are too young and too small to sell. After she left jane asked me what I was going to do with the seeds.
Why plant them of course but out in the woods maybe I can attract some game animals.
the only seeds I planted in starter pots were the pepper seeds
I am strictly a vegetarian but my vegetables are mostly running around on hooves then I kill and butcher my vegetables
