Brutal machine shop safety signs - photos
-
Oh thank you, to the many and varied safety administrations and their vivid imaginations.
I feel safer already.

noticed the chuck key still in the chuck as the persons was tangled in the lathe....
-
and what appears being run down by a rampant milling machine?
-
And also refrain from doing cartwheels whilst operating a milling machine.

The pre-edit version was funny; when comedians run out of material, they'll fall back on auto-correct as a topic....

The old training shops 'black museum's' contents, photo's mainly, but the odd irrecoverable finger stuck inside a nut in a jar like in the one I trained at, did a pretty good job of showing the consequences of stupidity, banned now. But there are still plenty of examples on youtube, the simplest sign I ever saw was "this machine can remove hardened steel at astonishing speed, do you really think your puny soft flesh and bone stands any chance?"

Altair - I hope you don't mind my posting to your thread. More cautionary than "brutal," this is on the door to my shop (garage). It was inspired by a similar sign that used to hang in the machine shop at Orange Coast College back in the 80's.

Saw this one recently:
