In 1992 I watched I think it was a C-17 (?) with solid rocket boosters take off at Grissom AFB at one of the last airshows they had. Got to see a staged bombing and strafing run by an A10 Warthog too. Debut of the Stealth Fighter (on the tarmac) and a flyby with the bomber. Best airshow I've ever seen!
