Sometimes the lowbuck build threads are cooler than the high-dollar builds, and this 8'x16' cabin is a good example of a small but livable cabin built by a young man and his girlfriend, near Medina Lake outside San Antonio, Texas.

The 8x16 size was chosen for minimal cost, and so that the house could be trailered to another location in the future if desired.

This is a small, affordable, great build for a first-timer, and an alternative to avoid decades of mortgage debt. Both daniel_hawkins and his girlfriend were handy, and, as is repeated in many build threads, he said: "So we figured why not".
