Car Sun Shield

The problem is real and serious. The solution is so dead simple that I was a bit embarrassed to post it.

Driving into the sun when it is low in the sky can make it hard for me to see. Adding a movable secondary sun shield can help a lot.

Thanks - gets me thinking about tolerating the sun when it is lower on the horizon. Doesn't look that hard to make. Buy BUYING one? I think you know me better than that ;-))

Admittedly, it was a silly thing to say. Of course, if you don't have a large enough piece of polarized, colored plastic on hand, it may be cheaper to buy a commercial model than to buy the plastic.

Off topic: Those yellow plastic clip-ons really help me with night driving. Modern LED headlights are overly bright and often incorrectly adjusted so they can verge on blinding.

In California everything is illegal. (And a lot of the stuff that is legal is just plain silly.)
