Looks to me like the ship may not have been fully at fault there. Unless the video is slow motion, the ship was moving very slow, docking speed. From the turbulence in the water, it was clearly using bow thrusters. It was in reverse as we see turbulence coming from the stern. We do not have enough video to know WHEN that crane was lowered into position. It is very possible that crane was lowered into position after the ship began its approach.

One thing is certain, the lawyers are going to make a lot of money from this incident.
