I had one of those back in the day.
Back in the day I had a stereo in my Ford that would play 8 tracks and cassettes. Good times...
Ya it seems to me that mine would run the cassette about 10% faster than a normal cassette player. Terrible for figuring out guitar licks. :-(
I bought a late 70's Dodge pickup that came with an 8 track of all things this was long after cassettes became popular so I got one of those adapters. I doubt if I ever owned more than half a dozen 8 track tapes in my life
I had a box in my truck that I made that held forty or so 8 track tapes. One day I went into the 7-11 and when i came out the box was gone. Drove a block down the street to the music store and bought my first cassette, Jimmy Buffett. That was 1978, the rest, as they say, is history. I ended up with over 5000 vinyl albums, hence my user name...
I've still got mine, it still works. My man cave is filled with LP's, cassettes, 8-tracks and CD's.Plus my stereo's and turntables.
