Great big brass ones! I think I'd have to turn in my Man Card if I were put in that situation. Didn't faze her a bit!

She definitely knows how to handle the situation! Smooth, confident, direct, determined, - makes me think of my own daughters. Either one of 'em would do exactly the same!

When we first moved here I would kill 12 to 15 rattle snakes every year right around the house. Not that I cared much for dispatching them I'd rather they stayed in the fields or the woods. I just couldn't abide by them thinking they should be anywhere near the house I have trouble hearing their rattle especially the smaller ones which are more dangerous, and jane has difficulty in seeing them with 1 bad eye it makes it even more difficult for her to see them. but this last year we didn't see smell or hear a single snake of any kind I attribute that to having 4 dogs all of which have been bitten at least once their shots help and a Bottle of Benadryl does the rest A dozen barn cats keep all of the snake's natural food source killed off as well as they will kill smaller snakes themselves. Our small flock of noisy Guinea foul do their job of helping to keep snakes at bay as well. I'd be just as happy to be able to declare my place a snake free zone and maybe I could one day if we decide to get a couple of donkeys and some goats
Never try to tell me it can't be done

There would be large-sized bullet holes all over if I had to deal with that!

Grew up on a ranch with lots of rattle snakes. A hoe with a nice sharp edge and a 6 foot handle was kept near every area where we found them, easy to chop off the head without getting close enough to be bitten.
Otherwise, a shotgun with a load or birdshot, or a pistol with a shotshell cartridge in it were employed.
For that cobra, I think I would go with a 12 gauge and a 1 1/8 ounce of #7.5's from about 10 feet out.
