Catching up

Greetings, innovators! I have been trained as a furniture maker and love all things wood. Maybe not splinters. After a brain injury, I lost my shop, house and hand tools. After 3 years of homelessness, I am in a great, stable living situation and beginning to set up a new shop. This site is a gift!

Good to hear you're working on setting up your new shop! I hope you've also seen our GarageBuilds.net site for ideas.

What are you planning on building once the shop is set up?

Lots of jigs and fixtures! I've made a couple of small boxes so far, and have a commission for a platform bed after I am equipped. Do you know of any reputable sites to acquire used hand tools in decent condition?

I've used Craigslist for that sort of stuff, but if you find any good purpose-dedicated sites for hand tools, please let us know.
