    Yes, it will be a shame when it ends. I hardly miss watching it go overhead when it passes here.

    I keep hoping one of the big bucks' guys will see the monetary value of it and begin gently nudging it into a higher and more elliptical orbit with each resupply mission Perhaps even begin reconfiguring the placement of the modules and arrays while adding new ones eventually the Iss could serve as a way station repair and assembly faciality or a platform for launching probes or passenger and cargo carrying ships to the moon and beyond

    Most of it needs replacing pretty soon. But with some actual cost to orbit competition that may not be mission impossible. Musk's BFR could lift that stuff up pretty rapidly.
