This is a great example of an inexpensive, low-key, fun rat rod, built by hoitink on KillBillet.com.

This one was built as a side project while working on a Merc. It's powered by a 283, and the fuel tank is an air tank off a highway tractor.

hoitink initially put in old upholstered house chairs as seats, before picking up a sewing machine and redoing the interior.

Like all good builds, this one made use of a homemade tool. In this case, hoitink made a louver press to punch louvers in the back.
