It could do with some speed reduction on the motor, I think, but a decent design. I would be temted though, to fabricate the cage. Cutting out most of the circumference of the agitator body and replacing it with ¼" hardware cloth would allow for better heat penetration, based on other chile roasters I've seen in action. It's hatch chile season here in the Southwest :-)
