Clarkson Tool and cutter bed stop

    Hi All
My Clarkson tool and cutter grinder is an excellent tool, not only sharpening various tools but great for sharpening custom made tools. When sharpening tools to a shoulder or centre, this however can be difficult to return to the exact same position. To overcome this issue I made a stop. The stop can be used either side.

To set with the stop a grub screw locks against the shaft which is slid into position and a bolt with a locked nut enables finer adjustment. The photos will hopefully clarify.

I am not sure if there is a purposely made stop by Clarkson or even if this is the correct way to maintain a position. But it does work but if anyone knows of a stop design I would be very interested in seeing how it works.

Thank you for taking the time to read.
