My guess is a Northern European Pine, like 'Scandinavian Pine' or 'Scots Pine', pinus sylvestris. Widely plantation grown in Northern Europe. Slow growing, close ring count, small branches (knots) and very stable. The odd part was their use of a Skil worm-drive saw! Probably a specialty manufacturer for high end residential and commercial exposed post and beam dwellings with exposed trusses...nail plates not allowed! Cheers
