What is the purpose? Sure it's interesting and if they built it just to prove they could, I'm ok with that, but if they don't suspend a road or walkable path from it or build a road or rails on top of it, what's the point? Is it just for carrying utilities a shorter distance?

That's just the arch that holds the road...
