That was about the time when the operator probably figured out the load was hung up and tried to rotate to clear it rather than attempting to lower the dozer a little. He would have had to rely on whoever was doing the signaling anyway as there was no way he could see an obstruction from the operator's cabin.
Agreed that guide tether was not doing much from the angle it was being pulled
