A Cross Drill Tape
If you need to precisely cross drill a piece of pipe, a V block and a drill press are the answer. If you just want to roughly knock a hole through it, locating the holes by eye is fine. But if you want to cross drill with more accuracy than eyeballing it yet don’t want to fuss with a V block, then this tool might fill your needs. It uses a scrap tape measure.

Rick,
This is very useful and a great way to cross drill even larger diameter pipe too large for v-blocks. It could be used for large diameter wooden posts (I hate it when drilling cross holes from each side of the posts and totally miss where the holes should meet near the center).
Thanks,Paul
