    DIY Temperature Meter

Initially built it to measure the temp of my lathe motor. Very crude coding with an alarm coming on at around 70 Deg.

Used a DS18B20 One wire sensor. They are cheap as chips from Ali Express. And the fact that they are One Wire means you can run more that one on the same data pin.
Then a small 0.96 OLED and an Arduino Nanao clone. Also all from AE.

with the start of the LockDown I went to just about every pharmacy in our area and you guessed it. the same as Vitamin C, nothing available.

So plan B. Pulled up the old code, removed the alarm part and added some code to ensure it is calibrated 100%.

Measure the sensor value at 0 Deg C.

And then again at 100 deg C

That was a bit of a challenge as the camera lens and my glasses kept steaming up.

Punched it all into a formula, and it seems to run just fine. Powering it with a small battery bank so it is portable and record me and wifies temp 2 times a day. Even if it is not 100% accurate the change will alert us to something being wrong.

Code and wiring can be supplied if anybody is interested, but it is all on the net in some way or the other. Some with a different sensor and other with a different display. The 2 x 16 LED is very common, but it was too big for this "portable" solution.

    KEEP HEALTHY
