That looks like copper. I do wonder if it really is. Also wonder how long it will last before someone steals it for scrap.

I'm guessing it's copper colored. Imagine gasps of disappointment when metal thieves hit the scrap yard. It's why no one around my area uses aluminum siding anymore, even stealing that s - - t.
What is it, .015 thick? Some bounty.
It's rarely if ever prosecuted, which I don't comprehend. Anything like property damage, graffiti, where owner sees costs to remedy, should be.
    Sincerely,

I have been at the scrap yard and actually saw a guy put 4-5 NEW rolls of THHN copper wire on the scale. The yard man told him "we doing take wire on reels". So the guy took them back to his can, pulled all the wire off the roll, smashed it into a wad and took it back to the scale. 500' of wire wadded up makes quite a bundle.

Another time I saw a whole pile of drill pipe from a horizontal drilling machine.

Thousands of dollars of stuff, all stolen, sold for scrap prices.

I have no doubt it is copper, destined to be installed on a McMansion in a gated community, which still does not insulate the people from the thieves though.
Things got so bad around the FT. Worth Dallas area for a while that scrap yards started issuing picture ID's to persons selling, this in addition to requiring your Tx, DL. If you showed up with a trailer load of any new copper such as pipe wire or sheeting you had better be a contractor in the respective trade or the police would show up before you were unloaded, long lengths of used wire or pipe and sheeting also would get you questioned. Same thing with large quantities of aluminum, any new materials brought into the scrap yard was an immediate red flag.
