Drilling harden steel with a hand drill

Drilling harden steel 59 RC. with a hand drill In this video i will show you how to sharpen a masonry - concrete - hammer drill bits to cut harden steel I will demonstrate drilling into hardened steel with a cheap carbide drill bits this works well for drilling in to knives or knife making it is preferred to use a mill or at least a drill press but it can be done with a hand drill but i do not recommend it

One note of observation I've noticed over time that many of the harder materials can be successfully drilled by using much higher down pressure at the same time using a very slow RPM.
As you said hand drills are a horrible choice for this task but many times they may be the only option available
