Good to see someone post this method with masonry bits. Years ago when I was repurposing "excavator bases" for the oil drilling industry I used masonry bits in large hand held slow speed electric drill to remove the broken off under carriage bolts, I found that new unused bits from reputable manufactures to be the best with the double "V" sharpening the best as they came. Most of these broken bolts/studs where 5/8 - 3/4 inch drilled cold, no lube just water.
I use Dewalt glass drilling carbide bits straight out of the package and they do a nice job drilling hardened metals.
sharpening a carbide bit like this is no differenat then a std bit, just a diamond blade. so if you know how to sharpen a drill you just change blade to diamond.Im not impressed with his sharpening skills. and those wrenches arent hard for squat. but atleast he did give other out side of the box ideas. now how to get those masonry bits to work on good old concrete!!!
