Drilling jigs
I made a couple of simple jigs so that I could drill a hole in the middle of the end of a plank. I had 8 of these to drill as they were for the dowels that held the sides onto the legs in my footstool project.
The jig was made from three pieces of wood glued and pinned together. I drilled the hole using the drill press.
I used the first jig to make the second jig which was used to drill the holes in the legs. All the holes could then be drilled using a hand held drill as the parts were all too large to fit in the drill press.
