    Drilling Machines & Accessories

A long time ago I started setting up a home workshop and recently I have been setting it up better to suite my needs.
In the last couple of weeks, I set up 2 of my drilling machines onto a table I had made years ago with a 16mm (5/8 inch) top. I Marked out, drilled and tapped holes in the plate to bolt down the machines.

The smaller bench drill is used for pilot holes only, and the bigger bench drill is used for some holes up to 13mm (1/2 inch) as well for de-burring and countersinking drilled holes.

I also made a stand out of stainless steel for a 6-inch grinder for sharpening drills etc and mounted it in between the 2 drilling machines and give it enough clearance to be able to use both drills.

Clearance to swing the table around without hitting the grinder as long as you don’t have the table up to high.

I removed the base from the bigger drill and bolted it straight to the bench so the center of chuck is outside the edge of the bench. This allows you to drill holes in a flange on the end of a shaft with a diameter no greater than 32mm (1-1/4 inches) by placing the shaft through the table. That is the size of the hole I bored in the table.

I have 2 bigger drilling machines as well a Magnetic drill for doing bigger stuff.

The big old drill with the gearbox will drill holes up & including 2 inch.

    Thanks, Trevor
