Drillpress DRO

For many years I worked with a retrofitted dial caliper on my drillpress, and it worked OK.
But when the caliper died on me, I decided to install a DRO with the display in a horizontal position, before my old neck was to kill me after reading the vertical display of the caliper.

It works great.

Great job, been thinking about doing that myself must find a DRO with remote dial like yours. All the ones that I've seen have the reading built in like a vernier.

EDIT: Found and ordered a DRO with remote on eBay. Hopefully it will be here for next week ����

May I ask if it interferes with the cover when changing the speeds.

My DP has a variable speed by turning the lever on the left side, so I do not need to open the top lid to change belts on pulleys. If I needed to do it, I might just move the hinges to the right side to be able to open the lid
