That is way to nice of an old truck to do that with! I do see that it is 2 boats that the planks are sitting across, which helps, but it doesn't seem like the planks are anchored to the boats. Also, the planks aren't stiff enough, as the weight is applied to the outer edges of the boats, and not much in the middle.
It does seem like perhaps they've done this before...but still seems like a bath for the truck is inevitable.

It took my butt 30 minutes to spit out the seat cushion! Nice looking truck - Any idea what it is? Don't recall a domestic pickup with suicide doors.
