    Duplicator for Wood Lathe

I built this duplicator accessory for the Proxxon DB250 wood lathe. It is essentially a half-scale version.

    Thank you, Eric

When I sold my Jet mini-lathe it had the Penn State Universal Duplicator. I had forgotten I had an extra cutter for that duplicator and it fit my tool quite well. The cutter is available from Penn State.

Because the cutter has to be sharp to follow fine detail, the finish will occasionally require a little sanding. If the template does not have fine detail, the cutter could be shaped with a small radius on the end.

Attached is a typical piece showing a very light sanding. It would require more finishing to be usable.Duplicator for Wood Lathe-dup-piece.jpg

Thanks for the reply. Have thought about building one for years to copy porch spindles on my mom's house.
