Edge protection 1: inner tube

We were discussing socks, and using them for protecting tools,etc.

I searched to see whether anyone else had put this idea forward. I use inner tube to protect chisel edges, auger drills, files.



I’ve just this morning refurbished this Sorby paring chisel, with homemade octagonal handle. Do you like it?
