Right after I completed Basic training in the Army they mixed up my MOS number and sent me to linemen's school I was 4 weeks into the course before things got straightened out and by that time had already entered the climbing phase of the training. I was sure glad to hear when I was being cycled out of linemen's school for my intended primary MOS because I don't know if Id even be able to walk today if I'd had to climb poles for the Army for my entire 6 years of enlistment.
wearing a pair of gaffs and having to climb a pole is murder on your knees, trying to run vertically is 100 times worse.
