How do you get the Tesla coil behind the sample seen in astronomy?

Where can I get the vials of gasses? I always wanted to make a Tesla coil,seeing something besides the sparks would be cool.
See if you have a neon sign guy in town, he/she should be able to make you some interesting samples.
