That's neat. I feel like this is within reach of consumer grade 3D printers with very minor modifications.
I would hope that video had been severely slowed for the viewer to be able to watch the process because at nearly 8 and a half minutes to do just 20 pins???
It is kinda slow, but I'm sure it's considerably faster than handwork would be. The fastest artisans I've seen would not have made three of those pins in a minute, I don't think. It looks like they could speed it up quite a bit, though, if they were able to program more than one color to go down at once. It should be fairly simple to write code that would fire off any color that was in position, regardless whether another color was firing at the same time at a different point.
