I finally got around to designing and machining an end mill grinding fixture and it performs flawlessly. I made a 3 part video series for it.
Take care and enjoy.

Lets Roger That, EXCELLENT! Using ER pattern collets (best overall design) is brilliant.
In a another life, the facilities used the 'old' version of end mill grinding fixture using 5C. The little 'Paco' 5x10 reciprocal grinder had barely enough Z to clear a decent size cutter, using worn (re-dressed) wheels.
One of the old machinists had a small home shop. So of course, he started on one made in R8, but soon a rather abject failure. He didn't figure R8's biggest limitation, they're blind! It sat on his workbench afterward, forever.
Very nice. Post parts 2 and 3 too please.
