    er20 collet holder for the lathe

    er20 collet holder for the lathe-img_20170801_141415.jpg my 4 jaw wont chuck 1/2 inch or smaller,got tired of changing chucks so made this [bought the locking nut]

    Why are you holding a piece of hex in a four jaw? Don't you have a 3 jaw?

    quicker to dial hex in than change chucks, I prefer the 4 jaw so seldom use 3 jaw

    I would have just made the holder square. Of course you probably started with a hex piece.

    Nice project, I'd be interested to see/read the steps you went through.

    I did make this one for the 3 jaw,after using it in the 4 jaw I did make one out of square stock for the 4 jaw. pretty simple build, just bored the bar out a little bigger than 1/2" turned diameter and threaded, bought the nuts from amazon about $5 each.
