You have to measure the final TIR using many several different high precision OD gage pins. Don't assume it is running within tolerance. - it may take some adjustment. You can always adjust the TIR of the collet chuck with a soft face hammer and then tightened down all three faceplate bolts. I recommend buying the best ER collets available that are rated to be within +/- 0.0002" TIR (pay once for good quality or pay more than once for as much as to expensive collets.)The same specs must be applied to the collet chuck and you can adjust one TIR spec against the other TIR spec for an even higher precision. Adjustments depend upon of the original mini-lathe bearings specs that may not be better than +/- 0.0005" and may make it more difficult to get anything better. If all goes well, you will have the set up adjusted well and then a dedicated ER32 setup can be your go to chuck on the mini-lathe.
