SpaceX wants to increase Starlink to between 30,000 and 42,000 satellites in total. I think Amazon is going to follow suit with their own global internet initiative. Kessler syndrome here we come! At least the majority of these satellites are low enough that they'll deorbit and burn up after a few years.
