    A good tip for using hexagonal collet blocks.
    The datums are the flat faces, not the points.
    In this case when milling the 3 flats, the side of the cutter could be used as it is line with the datum face of the block and vice jaw. A bonus is a nice radius where the flat meets the shaft and if six sides are needed then 2 can be machined in one setting.
