Nice tool if you do it for a living, but seems like a lot of work for a one off. There have been several methods discussed in this forum which make more sense for a one off.
Even a few jobs each month would justify the effort to build this

The device shown is functionally very similar to a toolmaker's clamp, e.g....

I suspect that, with a judicious bit of grinding, one of these clamps could be turned into a satisfactory extractor.
