Very informative, Rick! Thanks for showing this.
Rick,
I will definitely try this technique the next time I cut any square or rectangular tubing. I wonder if substituting homemade hardwood "vee" blocks instead of precision vee blocks would work almost as well? I like your other video using a wood form to help in cutting thin wall angle stock. Thanks for sharing, Paul
Nice tip. Thanks for sharing Rick.
Thanks Rick! I've added your Square Tubing Cutting Method to our Bandsaws category, as well as to your builder page: Rick Sparber's Homemade Tools. Your receipt:

Hi Rick , I just don't cut thin tubing on my bandsaw it jumps the blade every time. but I like your idea...:O)
the reason is that I use the blade until there aren't any teeth left and it is stretched soooo much it likes to come off the pulleys. :(
Not sure what blades you are using but you might want to try USA made bimetal blades. They make a huge difference and they can be bought from harbor freight for $30 or so. I use those and some pipe threading/cutting fluid. My bs eats tubing up,with all teeth intact.
I use Starrett bi-metal blades. As you say, they work great.
Excellent tip, thanks sharing your tool.
