i WOULD HAVE NEVER GUESSED. THANKYOU. I have seen some Local Authority made equipment that was so cleverly designed & built it would have taken too long for a business to profit from. Out front Kubota mower tilting trailer was one very clear in my memory bank. It had all sorts of toolboxes, separate vices for mower & whipper snipper/bruchcutters, rack that locked on 4 brush cutters, spare tyre under that could be released & retrieved from above between expanded mesh for washing off mud/salt/dust from mower, combined pintle hook/ball, anvil ,locking ramps for mower (about 4/5 ton) blade removal, extra tow hitch for draging a 4x4 mower from a bog etc etc. all galvanised or stainless. Even the drawers in side toolboxes were designed to hold specific tools. These weren't too long back 80's when local governments would take on apprentices. The apprentices would leave for private businesses and return in their 50 s or 60 s to basically go into early retirement training another lot of apprentices. Society, as a whole, was the winner.
Cheers & go make some swarf or sawdust.
