Festool diagnostic device. I guess it fits in between the tool body and the battery? The concept of tool diagnosis is perfectly fine, but what is this - an impact driver? Reminds me of one of the greatest tool headaches in my life, my firmware-buggy Husqvarna 550XP chainsaw.

Festool has a motor body which accepts various heads for driving fasteners or drilling. I believe the head are inline or angled as well.
