Spraying a dry chemical fire extinguisher on a fire in the ceiling is like trying to empty an ocean with a spoon, had about as much effect as the guy who tossed a glass of water at it.
looks like as soon as the ropes holding up the decorations burn through the fire nearly put itself out
Never try to tell me it can't be done

Reminds me of the Whitesnake concert several years ago in Rhode Island that killed 100 people

This will definitely be an unforgettable occasion. Hope it's not an omen for the future of their marriage.

That was Great White, actually. It happened in 2003. Terrible tragedy. The band even lost its own lead guitarist in that fire.

Someone thinks it's funny. It isn't. Maybe indoor fireworks is not such a good idea.

Well they'll certainly have great stories to tell their friends and children about their wedding day! "It was so awesome! We burned the place down!"

No question, Mister's Waterglass and Extinguisher have zero experience with conflagrations, nor exposure to handling emergency equipment.
That should be *1 qualification to personnel of entertainment industry. Likely, their manager concentrates on place settings and housekeeping.
Cannot believe the room owners were made aware of the full decorations planned. Think the cleaning deposit wasn't refunded?

I am surprised the decorations actually burned. A long time ago, I was at a party with similar decorations, which I thought was hazardous. I tried to light a small piece of serpentine and it was totally uninflammable (probably impregnated with a fireproofing substance). Very reassuring :-). Maybe the rules in the Netherlands are stricter than elsewhere.
