first attempt

Hi everybody,
Just joined the forum and not sure how there work!, I'm a retired guy, who would like to be able to try his hand at building anything but does not have a very imaginative flare.
I was thinking of trying to attempt a motorbike lift first as my knees are getting too sore nowadays when working on my bike!!.
