Yes, but they use a precision calibrated gauge made from zerodur by Heidenhain and certified with a CMM in an environmentally controlled chamber. The gauge transmits data via bluetooth to a SPC (statistical Process Control) system that Koenigsegg uses in presentations at marketing meetings. I just use a paint stirring stick.![]()

My family is a big bunch of car buffs, my son in law is the service manager at one of our local Tesla stores, last summer at our annual family reunion of fifty plus folks SIL brought a Model S PLAID to the reunion (with the blessing of his store manager) to give some joy rides.
I have never been in a faster car in my life, everyone that went for a ride came back with eyes as big as platters, this is a family that grew up with 1960 and 70's muscle cars (we still have a few), 911's, Jaguars, Aston Martins, one Ferrari and a long list of go fast toys over decades.
Incredibly impressive performance by the Tesla...the body panel fitment on the car was an absolute joke, SIL said that the local dealers do their best to align things as much as they can but in reality "that's just the way they come to us".
