I was wondering how often that a tarp got on a line that they then had to burn off that justified getting a flame thrower drone...

Poles catch on fire more often when you might imagine. I have actually seen two in the area where I live. One I called to report. The other, already had crews on scene. A third I did not actually see happening, instead I came home one day to find my driveway blocked by power company trucks replacing the pole that supplies my house. The top had burned off, cutting power to our home. My wife called that one in when the power to our house went out.

Just more evidence that our power grid in the US is not capable, in its current state, of providing power all of the electric cars headed for our roads.

I need one of those! I have a neighbor that insists on draping his giant tarps over the high power lines near our neighborhood!
