Not sure where to post this hence the silly title.
Ever had one of these fan hoods rattle in the wind all night?, There is a lot of discussion on the web for solutions so it obviously irritates a lot of people but none seemed to offer a good answer. Foam draft excluder, adding weights, buy a better fan with electronic shutters etc.

Well it could not be much simpler to fix, just a piece of plastic parcel banding doubled over and epoxied in place to act as a very light spring, this gives just enough closing force to keep the flap closed in the wind yet it will still open under fan draft pressure.
