    are they cheap quality batteries or are they typical? Lots of variability, apparently, in just that sample of three, if what we can see means anything.

    Does ANYONE make a good quality battery anymore? I have had some leak while still in the package, BEFORE the date on the package. Duracell and Energizer both of ruined equipment for me. I never store batteries in devices anymore, unless I use them often. None of they say "guaranteed not to leak" anymore.

    They sure do, and just as surely do not!
    Removing between use, is closest thing for a guarantee we're likely to get.
